Anime has become a popular topic among teens. Many people, especially during this year, have started binging anime series. I wouldn't judge you if you said you were interested in watching anime, but the question is: what anime should you watch and where? Well, I will be giving five different trending anime, and five recommended anime you should try to watch. I'll also list some places and their prices online you can watch anime.
Sites
Crunchyroll is an app where you can watch subbed or dubbed anime that's only $7.99 USD a month. Funimation is another alternative app. Funimation is $5.99 USD, and so is Hulu. Netflix also has some anime and many other shows and movies for $8.99 USD a month.

Trending Anime
First, one of the five most trending anime we have is Jujutsu Kaisen. Jujutsu Kaisen is an action/fantasy anime. It's about Itadori Yuuji, an ordinary high schooler until he ate a cursed item to save a classmate from a cursed spirit. That item was Ryomen Sukana’s finger which lives in his soul and now has to live with Sukana in his own body. He was then transferred to Tokyo Metropolis Jujutsu technical high school to learn how to fight cursed spirits with one of the most powerful sorcerers named Gojo Satoru as his mentor You can watch Jujutsu Kaisen on Crunchyroll.
Next is Dr. Stone. Dr. Stone is a science fiction anime. It's about how one day everyone, including animals, turned into stone by a blinding flash of light. Then Touju, the main character, awakens years later. His friend, Senku, is found to have also awakened months before him. Now they both try to build back humanity with the help of science. You can watch Dr. Stone on Crunchyroll and Funimation.
Still not interested? Then how about The Promised Neverland? The Promised Neverland is horror/fantasy anime. It is about the Gracefield house, an orphanage, where thirty-eight children live all waiting for the day they get to be adopted. Except when one of the children gets adopted, Emma and Norman, two older children that live in the orphanage, discover the horror of getting adopted. You can watch the Promised Neverland on Crunchyroll, Funimation, Netflix, and HBO max. You can also watch it on Hulu, but you will have to purchase a premium subscription.
Romance animes are the sweetest. One recently trending romance anime is Horimiya. Horimiya is about Kyouko Hori and Izumi Miyamura. They are friends but the total opposite of each other. Hori is seen as attractive and smart while Miyamura is seen as a “loser fanboy”. Out of nowhere one day, Miyamura comes to school with a piercing and a tattoo!? That's not all - he's also gorgeous!? You can watch Horimiya on Funimation and Hulu.
Do you like sports or skateboarding? Sk8 the Infinity is about high schoolers Reiki and Langa, a transfer student, that visits an abandoned mine in the search of “S”. “S” is a top-secret and dangerous downhill skateboarding race. Except Langa doesn't know anything about skateboarding. You can watch Sk8 the Infinity on Funimation.

Recommended Anime
Death Note has to be one of the most recommended anime out there. Death Note is a horror/crime anime. It is about Light Yagami, a high schooler bored out of his mind, who one day sees a notebook fall from the sky while in class. The Death note was dropped by a rogue shinigami: a god of death who, just like Light, is bored out of his mind. You can watch Death Note on almost any platform.
I've always wanted to be transported into another world. Even more a fantasy world with a lot of action. The Rising of the Shield Hero is about Naofumi Iwatani who was at the library one day where he picked up and opened a mysterious book, he was transported into a world where he has become one of the four legendary heroes. You can watch The Rising of the Shield Hero on Funimation and Crunchyroll.
Fruits Basket is an older anime that has now been reanimated. Fruits Basket is a romance/fantasy anime. It's about Tohru Honda who is living in a tent because of her family. She stumbles upon the owner of the land, Shigure Soma. Hearing about her fate, Shigure lets her live with him and Yuki, one of her classmates. She soon finds out a big secret about the Soma family when she tries to stop a fight between Yuki and another Soma family member. Fruits Basket is on Crunchyroll and Funimation.
Next is a psychological anime called Kakegurui. I'm not the best at gambling and neither is Ryota Suzui. He is a student of the notorious Hyakkaou private school. A school where many of the students are wealthy. Hyakkaou private school is also known for one more thing, gambling. When a new transfer student named Yumeko Jabami becomes his friend, Ryota soon finds out that Yumeko is not what she seems. You can watch Kakegurui on Netflix.
Last but not least is The Ascendance of a Bookworm. This fantasy anime is about Motosu Urano who was killed by all of her books falling on her because of an earthquake. Wishing for the chance to read more, she is reincarnated and put into the body of Maine, a 5-year-old girl. Except there is one problem: there are no books around because Maine is a peasant girl. So she becomes set to become a librarian so that she can finally read all the books she wants. You can watch this anime on Crunchyroll.

That is all for now. I hope you enjoy all the new anime I have listed. Join me next time for all types of anime movies!
